ORGANIZATIONS

We aim to foster and back Hispanic Republican Clubs in High Schools, Community Colleges, and Universities. Our vision includes the establishment and funding of a Hispanic Republican Club Voter Registration Action Plan, featuring an Incentive Program for new Republican Voter registrants. We’re devoted to offering political engagement education and Internship opportunities with elected officials.

Additionally, we prioritize equipping young adults with campaign skills and outlining a targeted race plan for Los Angeles. We’re dedicated to recruiting and aiding candidates in upcoming elections, assisting with signature gathering, filing/reporting, voter information, and volunteering. We’re also committed to creating mailers for Republican candidates and an Independent Expenditure Committee.

At the Republican Party of Los Angeles County (LAGOP), our mission is clear: we strive to advance the principles, ideals, and policies of the Republican Party while supporting the election of Republican candidates. Our objectives encompass a range of crucial activities, including encouraging voter registration, mobilizing friendly voters, fostering candidate recruitment and development, promoting an informed electorate, fundraising for our initiatives, publicizing and aiding volunteers and candidates, motivating eligible residents to become citizens, and providing dedicated volunteers to endorse Republican candidates.

The Republican Party, born in the 1850s by anti-slavery activists, advocated for free western lands like California and opposed government tyranny, inspired by Thomas Jefferson’s Democratic-Republican Party. They became national with John C. Fremont in 1856 and elected Abraham Lincoln in 1860. During the Civil War, Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation and the Thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery. Republicans also passed the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments for equal rights and voting. Lincoln supported the Transcontinental Railroad, shaping California’s history. Senator A. A. Sargeant initiated the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote. Republicans dominated the late 19th and 20th centuries, with presidents like Eisenhower, Reagan, and the Cold War victory. California had notable Republican governors like Leland Stanford, Hiram Johnson, Earl Warren, and Ronald Reagan. Other California-based presidents include Herbert Hoover and Richard Nixon.

The California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA), founded in 1875, is a nonprofit membership and donor supported organization with tens of thousands of members throughout California. We need you! California saw over 1 million new gun owners in 2020. These are people that choose to defend those they love, themselves, or take up a new hobby like hunting or competitive shooting.

CRPA’s membership is comprised of a diverse cross-section of the general public including believers in the right to choose to own a gun to defend yourself and your family, competitive and recreational shooters, hunters, conservationists, gun safety experts, students, new shooters, women, police, prosecutors and defense attorneys, judges, firearm history and technology experts, coaches and trainers, Olympians, families, and loving parents.
